Current work includes:
Creative Director:
Roots and Wings, Chickenley School, Dewsbury, West Yorkshire
A five year project funded by The Children’s Fund to work with children, teachers and families to nurture social and emotional development. Using the arts, we foster new traditions that put children in the driving seat of cultural change and inspire them to think and learn.
Honorary Research Associate:
CAHHM (Centre for Arts and Humanities in Health and Medicine) at the University of Durham.
Current project work includes the continuing development of an arts in health network in the East Midlands.
Fellowship:
Nesta
(National Endowment for Science, Technology and the Arts)
A three-year fellowship to investigate and study my working practice. The particular areas of interest are community, ethics and excellence, empathy and ritual.
Costume Designer:
The Traverse Theatre, Edinburgh
A new play by Scottish Gaelic writer Iain Finlay Macleod directed by Philip Howard. My third collaboration with this creative team. Opening Autumn 2007
Interests
Reading books, watching birds, knitting socks.
